Dahlias bloom in a myriad of colors, bi-colors and even tri-colors. Some are as large as dinner plates and some are tiny flowers. They have been popular for hundreds of years. Most people are not aware how long Dahlias will flower, but in general it is over 3 months of flowering, day in day out. Therefore, Dahlias become the choice of many gardeners more often. In early spring you can find them at many retailers where you can choose from beautiful varieties and colors. When planting, look for an area that has sun most of the day, but light afternoon shade so the plants are not overheated. And … they like moist well-drained soil. They are blooming this summer.
