Bonsai Acer Palmatum Grow Kit

GROWING INSTRUCTIONS
Thank you for selecting this quality grow kit!
For best results we recommend following the instructions below.

Seed Preparation

1. Soak the seeds in warm water (35–45°C / 95–113°F) for 24-48 hours.
2. Place the seeds in a sealed bag or container and keep them in the refrigerator at 2–5°C (35–41°F) for 60–90 days.

Sowing

1. Fill the container with 1/2 cup (4 fluid ounces) of lukewarm water. Place the pellet in the water and stir until it is fully expanded. Once the water has been completely absorbed, loosen the premium grow mix with a fork.
2. Fill the planter with 90% of the expanded growing medium.
3. Carefully sow the seeds and cover with approximately 0.5 cm (¼ inch) of growing medium.
4. Place the planter in a warm location at approximately 18–22°C (65–72°F).
5. Keep the growing medium consistently moist but not waterlogged.

Germination

• Germination usually occurs within 4–12 weeks after stratification.
• Place the planter in a bright location with indirect sunlight.

Seedling Care

1. When the seedlings reach 5–10 cm (2–4 inches) tall, keep the strongest seedling in the planter and transplant the others into similar pots.
2. Water regularly and avoid letting the soil dry out completely.
3. Protect young seedlings from strong direct sunlight and frost.
4. Begin pruning only when the seedling is well established and has developed at least 4–6 sets of true leaves, usually after the first growing season. Remove only small amounts of growth at a time to encourage branching and maintain plant health.
