Red Onion

Grow your own Red Onions!

Onions grow well on soil in raised beds or raised rows at least 4” or 10cm high. Soil needs to be well-drained, loose, and rich in nitrogen; compact soil affects bulb development. At planting time, you can mix in some nitrogen fertilizer, too, and side dress every few weeks until the bulbing process begins.
